Ready-Mix Concrete

We provide prescriptive, typically sack content mixes and performance concrete, compressive strength specific or with special finish characteristics to contractors in the Auberry, Mariposa, Oakhurst and O’Neals market areas.

We supply concrete with the following additives:

Colored concrete:

Fibermesh: reduces drying and plastic shrinkage in concrete and can replace the use of some wire mesh requirements in concrete.

Plasticizers: these additives allow for easy placement of concrete by increasing the fluidity (slump) of concrete while maintaining the compressive strength and durability of the concrete.

Retarders: these additives slow the setting of concrete and are used when concrete must be delivered long distances or when on difficult job sites where is will take the contractor a long time to place the concrete.

Accelerators: these additives, combined with hot water can provide set times typical in the summer months during the late fall, winter and early spring. Using accelerators provides time savings to the contractor. Since time is money, accelerators provide the best option for getting the job done quickly.

Hot water: heated water increases the temperature of the concrete which improves the setting time of concrete for cold days.

Chilled water: (O’Neals plant only): we offer chilled water during the summer for projects with specific temperature requirements.

Ice: we use ice to assist in meeting stringent temperature requirements for government projects.

We also supply specialty aggregates:

Lightweight Aggregate: this specialty rock is imported from Colorado and decreases the weight of plastic and hardened concrete from approximately 140 lbs/ft3 to 124 lbs./ft3.

Exposed Aggregate Mixes: many contractors looking for a special aggregate finish look for speciality aggregate for this finish.
